Chateau # 3 - Villandry

The chateau we visited today had a big white castle, but it is more famous for its beautiful gardens.

They keep the gardens looking the same as they were when the castle was built in 1532. There are lots of fruit and vegetables growing in the gardens, but no potatoes or tomatoes - they were unknown in France 500 years ago!

This castle also had a maze. It was a-maze-ing! Jackson and I didn't get lost!

  2. Dear Olivia,

The maze looks really hard!! The gardens look pretty!! We wish we could go inside a chateau! We enjoy seeing pictures from your trip! We want to go there too.

We wish you could see the butterflies! They have all changed into butterflies through the process of metamorphosis! Today we are going to let the butterflies go into the wild! We are sad to see them go =(. We have twelve butterflies altogether!

We are learning about the Arctic Habitat! Brrrr! We got new books on all the team tables! We wish you could see all the beautiful pictures in the books!

    We miss you so much!

    Love,
    Your Favorite First Grade Class
