Yesterday we caught a train to Amboise, where we will spend the rest of our vacation.

I did some puzzles on the train to pass the time.

We saw lots of pretty flowers in the fields.

And then we arrived at our house. It has 3 storeys and lots of stairs!

Tomorrow we start our adventures looking for dungeons in castles!

Happy Mummies Day!

It's Saturday and today my Uncle Jonathan took Jackson and me to a big museum called the Louvre to see some Mummies! The Louvre used to be a palace where kings and queens lived.

A Mummy is a person from Egypt a long time ago who is wrapped up in bandages to be buried. They were not too scary!

There were even animal mummies - cats, dogs and a crocodile!

This sphinx statue is also from Egypt: he has the head of a person and the body of a lion!

Next we went upstairs to see the paintings. Here's the Mona Lisa. It is so famous it has its own room with guards and you cannot get too close to it.  It is a very nice painting.

Later today we are leaving Paris. We are catching a train to the countryside for the rest of our vacation.
Bye for now!

Eiffel Tower Day!

Today was the best day ever!
We went up the Eiffel Tower!

It was so much bigger and taller than I thought it would be.

We waited our turn at the bottom of the tower then rode the elevator to the top. It wasn't as scary as some rides at Disney but it did go very high.

For a treat at the top I chose a red lollipop shaped like the Eiffel Tower. It was yummy!

From the top we could see views all over Paris.

After we came back down we went to Montmarte for lunch and I got to eat a chocolate crepe.

Chocolate crepes are delicious! I wish I could eat them for every meal!

First Day in Paris!

Paris is much colder than Orlando! Today we explored the city by boat. We went on the River Seine in a glass topped boat and we could see the Eiffel Tower through the top of the boat! We also saw a big church called Notre Dame and lots of old palaces and museums.

Ready for Take Off!

Today we will be on the airplane all day. Lucky I have a TV screen to watch movies. When we wake up we will be in Paris!

The TV also had video games and a map of where the plane was going. It was fun! But the flight took a long time.

A Few Of My Favorite Things

These are some of the things I am most looking forward to doing on my vacation:

Eating chocolate croissants for breakfast EVERY morning!

Going to a museum to see the world's most famous painting, the Mona Lisa. Mom says its "priceless" which means even if you were very, very rich you couldn't buy it!

I am going to eat chocolate crepes. Yum! They are very skinny pancakes filled with warm chocolate and you can watch them being made!

We are going to visit lots of old castles. I really want to see the dungeons where the kings used to keep their enemies tied up!

I went to the Eiffel Tower when I was a baby but I can't remember it. This time I'm going to ride the elevator all the way to the top to see the whole of Paris!!

I'll send my next update from the airport on Tuesday. Have a great week!

Bon Voyage!
